Executive Masters of Business Creation & Administration (EMBCA)

Enterprise Development Institute jointly with the Global Institute of Innovation & Management (GIIMS) and WEBEL   launched a course on `Executive Masters of Business Creation & Administration’ (EMBCA). This Management course will be started from September this year at the new EDI Complex at Salt Lake (Block- IB- 194, Sector-III, Salt Lake, Kolkata- 700106).  

It is  ten months programme with 2 semester including summer project. There will be 2 months Projects Internship between two semesters. Classes will be held every alternative on Saturday and Sunday.

Eligibility: Candidates passed Bachelors Degree with 50% marks.

Entrepreneurship Development Activities

EDI has been gradually expanding its activities. The Institute provides support to both existing and prospective entrepreneurs covering different target groups like women, rural and urban poor, unemployed youth, science & technology persons, voluntarily retired persons, ex-servicemen, retiring service men, minorities, field and middle-level executives of SMEs in Kolkata & in the districts of West Bengal.

i)   Entrepreneurship Development Programs (2 to 6 weeks duration) for certain target groups like women, unemployed youth, rural and urban poor, ex-servicemen, voluntarily retired persons, science & technology persons etc. as sponsored by various Govt and other organizations. Special Entrepreneurship Development Programmes on specific trade like jute, floriculture, handicrafts, plastic, food processing, biotechnology, travel and tourism, pisciculture etc are also being conducted.
          
EDI has been conducting EDP training for the selected candidates under PMEGP, BSKP and other schemes as sponsored by the KVIC, DICs and KVIB.

ii)  Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (1 to 3 days duration) in the Universities, Colleges, Technical/         Management Institutes and NGOs as sponsored by Govt. agencies or the above organizations/ Institutes.

iii)  Entrepreneurship Motivation Programme:   2 to 4 days programme for unemployed youth in all districts through Employment Exchanges.

iv) Faculty Development Programme on entrepreneurship: 1 to 2 weeks duration for the faculties/ teachers of colleges, Technical Institutes, NGOs etc

iv)  Trainer’s Training Programme (entrepreneurship): 2 to 4 weeks programme for representatives of NGOs, teachers, Govt. officials etc

v)  Capacity building Programme : 2 to 5 days for NGOs, Business Associations etc

vi)   Vocational Training on Fashion Garments, Diversified Jute Products, Silk screen Printing, Batik Printing, fabric Printing, Block Printing, candle making etc.
